Super Easy Easter Treat


Another seasonal holiday, which gives me another excuse to bake and make sweet treats. I love finding new recipes for my favourite foods (if you hadn't already guessed I have a very sweet tooth).

The wonderful thing about making chocolate brownies is you can never go wrong. You just can't beat a good brownie, but the soft and chewy white chocolate chunks in this recipe makes them even special and since I love them so much, I thought I'd share this recipe. So if you like have at baking them too! You can thank me later...

Makes 12

YOU WILL NEED...
65g or 1/2 Cup Plain Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
100g or ¾ Cup Cocoa Powder
Pinch of Salt
250g or 1 ¼ Cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
150g or 2/3 Cup Butter
1 Bar of Milk Chocolate
1 Bar of White Chocolate
1/2 Bag of Milky Bar Buttons


Heat up the oven to 180c.

Put the butter in a microwaveable container and heat up for 30 seconds and then stirring. Continue this till the butter has melted.

Stir in the sugar alongside the vanilla and cocoa powder. Once that’s all mixed, add one egg at a time. Making sure it’s well mixed together until it’s all incorporated. But don’t over mix as you want it to be nice and gooey.

Then carefully melt the milk chocolate. Be really careful as it gets really hot, but make sure you keep stirring it so the chocolate doesn’t burn.

Once that’s been added to the mixture, add all of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt).

The last step is break up the white chocolate bar and add the pieces and chocolate buttons to the rest of the mixture.

Transfer the mix to a lined pan and pop it in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the top is shiny. Then, leave it to cool before chopping it up into squares.

Banana Mango Kale Green Smoothie


It's now middle of March and spring is here finally, meaning Summer is on it's way. If you're wanting to feel refreshed and ready for the summer. This smoothie is the perfect combination! What better way to kick off the summer with a healthy green smoothie? I can’t think of anything soooo start blendin’!

What better way to start than with a green smoothie? This Banana Mango Kale Green Smoothie is simple, and refreshing! It's super simple, requiring just 5 ingredients and a blender or food processor. I've used this  recipe a lot recently and it's my go-to smoothie! 

Prep time: 5 mins Total time: 5 mins
Serves: 1 large or 2 small smoothies

What better way to start eating healthier than with a green smoothie? This Banana Mango Avocado Green Smoothie is simple, creamy, and refreshing!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup ice (optional)
1 banana, frozen
1 cup mango chunks, frozen
2 cups kale, fresh
1 1/2 cups filtered water

INSTRUCTIONS
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth. 
Pour into 1 large or 2 small cups.
Enjoy!

NOTE: Best when fresh, though leftovers will keep covered in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Dealing with Stress


It's getting closer to that time of year that everyone dreads... Exam season! As well as deadlines for coursework, applying for university, college or sixth form. It all becomes too much for us. I know the feeling all to well with stress and at times it's impossible what to know what to do next when you feel like giving up is the only option.

I want to share a few top tips on the ways I deal with stress. It won't stop you stressing as we sometimes need a little to keep us sane, it will just help you manage and cope hopefully. Lets say goodbye to stress spots, breakdowns and tears- as who needs that negativity in our lives anyways.

1. Stop and take a deep breath - slowly inhale and exhale.
2. Plenty of sleep means you recharge - when stressed it's best to sleep and rest up
3. Tidy learning space = tidy mind
4. Take time out for YOURSELF - You are the most important so spend time doing what you love.
5. Don't forget those around you as they want to help and love you - step back and spend some time with friends they need you too.
6. Count to 10 slowly - or even 20 if you need it.
7. Accept you can't control everything but stress you can - put everything it to perspective, is it really that bad?
8. Distract yourself - listen to your fave artist, watch your fave tv series or get lost in a book.
9. Maintain a positive attitude - replace negative thoughts with positive ones :)
10. Do your best - you can't be perfect at everything but succeed in it the best you can!

Even if you only do one of these and it helps then you're on the way to being a more happier, confident you. We all need a break from the constant revision which is why I go out with my camera and snap away at everything and anything or I pick up a pen a doodle.
