Reflective Monday

Since I set up my blog, I tend to plan my posts so they are sorta interesting and it’s not very often that I sit down, type and do a “spur of the moment” blog post but I recently I've been doing a lot of thing and in a reflective mood and started to think about how different things were for me this time last year. Obviously I like to share my thoughts and what has been happening on here or on any of my social media but there is a massive chunk that only my close friends and family know about. Shall we just say that this time last year, things we different and I was a very different person.

I’m not writing this blog post to tell you my story or to explain everything, but what I want to, is reassure any of you that may be going through a hard time, that things DO get better. It may not feel like it, but with a few little changes, they will.

Nobody leads the perfect life, and everyone makes mistakes. Often things that you aren’t prepared for may get thrown at you, and sometimes it’s really very hard to battle those problems and life situations. I just want you to know that you can do it. It might take days, weeks, months or years. Everything happens for a reason and everything we go through makes us who we are.
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift will always be one of those songs that will always bring a smile to my face and get me dancing around even when times are not looking birght. Do you ever just have one of those songs that you just love listening to over and over again and it would never become boring because it just makes you smile? I do and I felt like it really helped. Music makes everything better.

What’s your favourite song with meaning? good or bad?

Things us girls hate about boys

Hey guys- I just wanted to make a quick post about things that boys do that I find annoying, which is pretty much every single thing that they do, all the time. PLEASE do not take anything I say personally, as this is my own opinion so you may disagree or agree.

Let's get started!

Firstly the main thing that annoys me is that there are cute boys so you keep liking them. For me in particular it's boys in bands, please say I'm not the only one who thinks this?

These two are kinda similar but it's when you're mid conversation or ask a question to them and they read the message but don’t answer. Or when they they act like he likes you and then he ignores you. This bugs the hell out of me, it's not hard to send a quick reply back instead of totally blanking. Also mixed signals from guys confuses us girls a lot.

When they belittle you, or when they force you into doing things you don't want to do, for example if they become controlling and use you... No girl should be treated this way. Another reason is if boys want you to change your personality or appearance just so you "look better" or look like celebrities or Victoria Secret models. Girls just NO, never ever change who you are because you're beautiful and perfect the way you are.

When boys do that spit thing when they are walking down street… When boys walk down the road with their hands down their trousers… It is just gross, there is no need for it...

And finally, when boys act totally different when they're around their friends, they become a lot more confident and big-headed. Or when they choose their fave sport or video game like FIFA over their girl. Just so they can hang out with "the guys".

Obviously not all boys do these things and act like this, it's just things I notice from day to day from boys.

I wanna know what annoys you about boys, so comment below. Also if you're a boy and reading this, what annoys you about girls as we are pretty crazy so go ahead comment in the box!

What's in my bag?

We've all been back to school or collage for a couple weeks now, and I keep just shoving stuff in to my bag and forgetting to take it out (don't lie we all do it). Since it's end of the week I'm gonna give it a good clear out and tell you guys what I have in my bag on a day to day.

To start my bag is from New Look and it is a Flip Lock Backpack in white, if you haven't already guessed, and it was about £25 but I sadly they don't have them in stock anymore :( This bag is super handy if I am going away for the day as there is plenty of space and side pockets for essentials. And its also easy to carry around on a daily basis, when I'm in sixth form or just popping in to town with friends. Plus the colour is neutral and literally goes with any outfit, which is always a bonus.

What's inside I hear you all asking, well I have my....
♡ Purse
♡ Phone
♡ Charger
♡ Two sets of earphones
♡ Vaseline
♡ Hollister body mist spray
♡ Glasses
♡ Sunglasses (just in case)
♡ Socks
♡ Driving licenese
♡ Diary
♡ "Girl things"
♡ Pencil case
iPad

So there is my handbag contents…Sorry it's not that exciting!

Do what makes you happy

I always feel as though there is a lot of pressure nowadays on us as the younger generation to do well academically and to achieve. Sometimes we so caught up in targets and goals that we forget to do what makes us happy. Whether that be photography, writing or playing your favourite sport.

For me, my blog is place where I can be my self and happy. I set up this blog so I share my thoughts and advice on the things that occur in my daily life, so they could help you guys if you need it.

I shouldn't be embarrassed of it or hold back for that matter. I am going to carry on blogging no matter what as it makes me happy and it is my escape from the stress and overthinking.

I just want anyone reading this to know, you should do what makes you happy too, regardless of what ANYONE thinks.

It's that time of the year again...

It's now September which means one thing, back to school. Most of us will be back at school or college tomorrow, if you haven't already gone back, or some of us may be starting a new school. With everyone getting ready for the year ahead of us and catching up with friends that we haven't seen over summer.

Since I am going in to my last year of sixth form, yikes, I have had many years of 'going back to school' and I just want to share my top tips on how I managed and how you can survive your first day / week back.

So here is some advice from me to you.

♡ For anyone starting in a new school and you don’t know anyone, just be yourself! I know it sounds cheesy but by being you it’s the best thing. If you go in acting like someone else, you will never be truly happy. I know it’s hard as you want to fit in and look cool but trust me you’re already cool so just be yourself.

♡ If you’re starting sixth form or college try manage your time really well. It feels weird but if you make sure you get all your work done in free periods, you have nights after school and weekends to chill with friends or watch tele. For me last year I didn’t manage my time well like I’d often just sit and gossip with friends instead of working. So all I’m saying is do the work you need to do in free lessons and you’ll have free time.

♡ Try have fun. Like obviously work hard but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. We’re young and supposed to have a fun time. School is boring but have fun and enjoy your time with friends.

♡ We all like to have a laugh and joke around with our friends but try not to take too far in class time. I mean you’ve got to learn and no one really likes it when the same person is always being a distraction. You can be funny, make jokes but don’t take it too far as you don’t want to be seen as the annoying kid in the class.

♡ Make sure you turn up prepared. There is no point not taking as what’s the point in actually going with nothing. It’s like going to the cinema and not taking food, we all need it.

Obviously this year I am wanting to study hard so I do apologise in advance if my blog posts are not as often. But hopefully I can carry it on as I love writing on here, it's a place where I can truly express myself over anything and I feel I am able to talk and share stuff with you guys.

Internet Friends

'Are internet friends real friends?'

It's a question I see getting asked a lot nowadays since there is so many social media platforms. In my eyes internet friends are the best type of friends any one could have. I have so many friends I've made through the internet and some I'd love to call my best friends.

Every time I go online to hang out with my awesome internet friends. So what if my friends are online? Here are my top reasons why online friends are just as good as the girls down the street.

♡ I can pick and choose the amazing people I want to keep in my life. They are super fun to talk to and it’s so fun talking about meeting every single one of them.

♡ I can talk to my friends ANYTIME I want. I really appreciate being able to send a little note whenever I think of something funny to say. I'm pretty sure my friends equally appreciate getting to hear the joke before I forget the punchline.

♡ If I need feedback on anything whether it’s an outfit, or what to say to someone or even to check with them that my Instagram post looks okay.

♡ I can tell them ANYTHING. It is incredibly freeing to be able to complain or confess or whine or whatever to a bunch of people who have never met my friends at school, I have my friends from different cities too talk to.

♡ It is a wide, wide world filled with wildly hilarious, deeply passionate and incredibly caring individuals. Thanks to social media and blogging, I get to interact with all of them.

I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of my internet friends and the time I've spent with them has been the best. I met these amazing girls through music and bands which is pretty much all we talk about, 5SOS, The Vamps, The Tide, etc. Spending the time with those girls, is precious as time is short but we make the most of it filling it full of laughter, hugs, gossiping and photos.

With internet friends it's the feeling of first seeing them and giving them the biggest hug ever that lasts for ages and you feel totally happy to finally be with them and when you see their smile you smile back even bigger. It's just when you have to say goodbye. The hugs are endless as you don't want to leave them. As either you or your friend boards the train/bus/departure lounge, you don't want to go, and you feel tears fill your eyes as you say your final goodbye.

All I can say is thank goodness for group chats and other social media where we constantly talk to each other, share photos of our faves and plan when about we will next see each other.
